Realities For Children has one mission:
To ensure that no child in Northern Colorado is forgotten.
For more than 28 years, Realities For Children has been the heart of emergency and ongoing support for children in Larimer County experiencing crisis. Their work includes:
- Emergency funding when all other options are exhausted
- Critical item distribution, from clothing to hygiene supplies
- Healing-focused youth activities that provide connection and stability
- Special grant programs & scholarships designed to break the cycle of abuse
- Support for 40+ Partner Agencies working directly with children and families
Last year alone, over 7,295 children in Larimer County were referred for abuse or neglect. Realities For Children works tirelessly to ensure they receive protection, resources, and hope.

Spotlight on NightLights — A Beacon of Hope
Each December, Realities For Children hosts NightLights, their largest annual outreach event. The 50-foot blue NightLights tree is more than a holiday decoration — it is a symbol of hope for children navigating darkness. Blue is the international color for child abuse awareness, and each light represents one child being brought out of the shadows.
