Ft. Collins Auto Repair

This repair shop really cares about the consumer and gives fair pricing. Also, they can help you get home if you have no other means of transportation. They do great work here and I would recommend this shop to friends.

The first reason I trust this place is because the owner is involved with his shop and prides himself on good customer service. He even denied doing some work on my truck because it was in decent condition and did not need replacing, even though I suggested it. He gently refused business because it would cost me more money. The next reason is because my friend had a Chinese scooter and had to take one bolt off with an air wrench. He called dozens of shops and no one would even take money to help him get one bolt off. Performance Tune offered to help him for free, as well as they sourced the other parts of his scooter that ended up failing later. The last reason I will share is that Performance Tune has supported many car and truck groups I am involved in and even let us use their parking lots for gatherings. Just ask for Pat, the owner, and he will genuinely give you the best service he knows how.

Good work, fair prices, friendly, and trustworthy. I live out of town, but my daughter is in Ft. Collins. It is good to have a place I trust for her to get her vehicle repaired. They did a great job on brakes, and have been great with a persistent electrical problem. Good to work with, and always friendly. I wish I had a place like this in my town.

Great place great service. Like the fact the owner is there, on-site. When they say your vehicle will be ready at a certain time, it is. They went out of their way to accommodate our tight schedule and kept in touch via phone and text. Definitely recommended. Performance Tune stands by their work. When I discovered a small problem after a recent repair, the staff at Performance Tune cheerfully corrected the problem and sent me on my way. One of Performance Tune's competitor's in Fort Collins did just the opposite a year earlier and would not go good for a costly mistake. So now my wife and I use Performance Tune exclusively for both our vehicles. Scheduling is prompt, the work is done in a timely and professional manner; only necessary work is done, and that work is guaranteed. The staff and owners are good honest people who are concerned with their customer's safety and satisfaction.

New to the area and was looking for a repair facility near my place of employment so that I could have my car repaired at a reasonable price. Drop my car off unannounced and these took care of the rest! Mike and Pat are amazing. I highly recommend Performance Tune!

My car broke down late night while dropping my daughter off at CSU. Called first thing in the morning (Mike actually answered about 5 minutes before open time) and was told that they would squeeze me into the schedule. I had my car towed to the shop (close to campus) by my insurance company. Issue was an electrical short. Preston was fantastic! He worked his you-know-what off seeking out the source of the problem. After spending considerable time on it, he determined where the short existed, but not the location of the problem. Rather than end-running it and performing the "quick-fix" he spent the time and effort to track down the problem and sent me on my way back home (900+ miles) with the confidence that the issue was truly solved. The owner Pat was also at the shop and was truly concerned about my experience and getting a good result out of the repair. While I hope not to experience any auto problems while traveling in Ft Collins, if I do - I know where I'm taking my car. These guys did good work and I recommend them highly (and given the time spent on the vehicle - it was very reasonably priced too)

Pat and I are pretty good with each other. I love to bring in my jeep every now and then for issues I cannot handle. They are honest, and will tell you whats wrong and what needs to be replaced. Thanks everyone for the great work!

Was kind of disappointed with the small transaction I had here. I saw all the good reviews so I headed over to see what was wrong with my 15+ year old car, which always breaks down. They charge a $55 fee just to take a look at it which wasn't mentioned when I called in, so I was pretty put off. They then call me later that it's just the battery and tried to sell me a battery and install over $200. After that quote I decided that this overpriced garage was not for me. They were friendly enough so that gained them an extra star. Good luck with your experience.

07/15/2015 My car broke down while passing through Ft Collins. Although the shop on shields had just closed I was able to catch Pat S. while he was closing up shop. Pat was very friendly and kind and he did everything in his power to get me back up and running. The parts for my car were available and my repair was handled the very next day once the shop was open again. I had a memorable experience and if I was a resident in Ft Collins I would make this my go to shop. Thank you Pat and performance tune staff. (By the way Pat, we never made it to red rocks but we made the best of a bad situation and it was truly a pleasure meeting you.)
