Excellent service, above and beyond the call of duty. We've had two repairs done here, both urgent and done in a timely manner. The owners value a good client relationship over a quick payment.

Traveling across the county and stopped in ft collins. Needed a couple of things done on the truck, and rob and Peter did everything necessary to help me out. Turned out great and the bill came out to less than I expected. To top it off, rob brought my girlfriend and me back to downtown ft collins while I was waiting for the truck to be worked on!

UPDATE: In response to Rob's delightfully snide reply that my "Mr. Childs 25 year old 1989 Mercury Tracer was repaired each time as he requested. We had no way of knowing the age of any parts on his car or their current condition, and we replaced only what was needed." Why did I pay for diagnostics if not for that reason? Why not mention this well into the process?! It wasn't as if this was my first, second, third, fourth fifth, or tenth visit. I was loyal because I trusted their assurances they could help keep my car running. It had less than a 100,000 miles. It wasn't as if I demanded they fix it, but collaboratively asked what it would take and IF it was worth it. And I was repeatedly assured that yes it was. Why else would I keep coming back and spend thousands of dollars on what became a money pit? I would've moved on to another car. Overheated to the point of melting my radiator? I driven for 15 minutes on my commute to loveland, and yet of course it had nothing to do with the coolant issues, only to be stranded. Backstory: I had multiple issues with my car which ended with an overheating which left me stranded on I-25, and a permanently dead car. Why? Well the piecemeal fixing of my car. It started well back with brake overhaul. Starter. I had a the waterpump replaced. Fine. I had the radiator replaced. Fine. But why none of the coolant hoses? One burst. Fine. But did they replace both? No, just one. So I am stranded and overheated off the side of the freeway missing work. Again, another bursts, I am stranded again and another coolant hose was replaced. I used all my Triple-A tows within several months because of this. A year's worth. And like an idiot I kept coming back. I had previously had belt issues, which were not properly adjusted, leaving my battery dead in the heart of winter. I had them replace the valve covers of my engine, oil changes, water pump, brake work beyond pads and a mystery acceleration issues. I had literally spent thousands there under the assurance that the little 1989 Tracer, which had not seen 100,000 miles, would see another. All from October 2013, to now. I trusted them. In for penny, in for a pound, ya know? This resultant overheating, and replacement piecemeal, of my car's radiator and coolant hoses caused my engine to die. Rather than admit any culpability when again it overheated and coolant smoke was pouring out of my car, and again I was stranded? They forced me to pay for my tow and informed me my car was now functionally dead. They were almost antagonistic. It wasn't as if I was a stranger. They'd seen me quite regularly. They even admitted the heat stress likely caused it to die. I will never do business with them and encourage you not to as well. Cheaper is not always better and if my car had been fixed initially, or even on the second visit, likely the head gasket which cracked would be in better shape. I am beyond disappointed in their behavior towards me, especially when I, and my sister, spent thousands (on the same car) only to have the car last a few months. Thankfully social media will allow me to share this opinion.

These guys are by far the best in Fort Collins. Their location is a bit away from where I live in town so I've tried going to big chain places for minor things and always end up driving to Maztec. They overall have saved me over 800+ dollars the two times I've been there compared to other FoCO mechanics. They are always about 100+ more reasonably priced than any other place in town. Besides price all the mechanics are hands on. Once Mark actually brought me back to show me what was wrong with a part before replacing it. I can't tell you how reassuring it actually is to see what's physically wrong with your car rather than just taking their word for it. Reasonably priced, great customer service, and incredibly knowledgeable. By far the best place in town for big or small repairs.

Great mechanic shop! I owned a diesel jeep that I would always bring to Performance Tune and they were great every time. I like the personal customer service. They also send you emails to keep you updated on when to service your vehicle. Thanks for the many years of awesome maintenance!

I went to Performance Tuning off of a friends recommendation , they seemed very nice over the phone and set up a appointment for the next morning as soon as they opened. All i needed done was a diagnoses of an engine code that i had already pulled and to see where i had a e-vac leak coming from. I dropped my car off the next morning at 8 a.m. It sat where I parked it for the entire day with no one looking at it. I checked several times through out the day to see what their diagnoses was but they kept saying it was next in line. The 2nd day i got a call around 3p.m. and they finally had an answer. And said that the diagnoses cost $125, i asked them what they did and they said they checked the harnesses (meaning they looked at them), pulled the engine codes (Which i already did, cause its free at any part sotre and i told them that), and finally the only real benefit of that charge was them hooking up a smoke machine to see the e-vac leak. After the diagnoses they said it would cost about $660 to repair everything including labor. I called my insurance company to file my claim and i got denied. I found out that the estimated diagnoses and repair time for the problems i had was 1 hour and 10 minutes, and i was denied because the cost of the job was $100's over the range to fix the problem. And they told my insurance company that they charge $110 an hour for diagnoses work. So very untruthful company that charges top dollar for work that they couldn't even guarantee or warranty. So save yourself some time and avoid this place.

Maztech has always repaired my two cars on time, with good results and at a fair price.. Can't ask for more than that!

My wife and I just moved here from Oregon, and have been looking for an honest local mechanic. Well, looks like we've lucked out! I love a place where I can go and not be embarrassed about how little I know about cars. At Performance Tune they treat you with respect and are honest about the work they do. I would rather pay these guys to do an oil change than one of the quick jiffy lube places. Just had all my fluids changed here as well, and my car is running smoother than it was before. We definitely intend to use this place for all of our cars' needs. Also met Rob, the owner--a very pleasant guy who definitely cares about his shop and customers. Micah at the front desk is also very competent and approachable. Highly recommended!

Wonderful service! Taking great care of my older car, with great advice every step of the way!

This place is the best repair shop I have found. I have taken my car here for a few years and they have always taken the time to properly diagnose the problem. One specific time that stands out for me is when my car was making a weird clunking noise. I took it in to be checked and they could not reproduce the clunking. They took the time out of their day to have a mechanic drive around with me to see if I could reproduce the problem. I will always bring my car to this shop for repairs! Thanks for the great service.
